Opportunity

The AI Services (“AIS”) team enables our customers to capture insights from unstructured data that is critical to their business by working directly with advanced Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) and customer data sets.  Terzo’s pioneering approach to flexibly applying Humans-In-The-Loop (“HITL”) accelerates AI model development from concept to value delivery for our customers. This position offers qualified candidates the opportunity to learn and work in the rapidly growing Enterprise AI field, at an innovative growth company serving Fortune 500 customers.

The Managing Data Consultant role at Terzo places the right candidate on the front line to help enterprises unlock the value of their data. This customer-facing position is at the intersection of business strategy, consulting, data, and AI.  This role combines the best of People, Process, and Technology (“PPT”) and is well-suited for ambitious individuals who thrive on bridging data with business outcomes.

In this role, you are a trusted advisor for our customers to define data strategy, develop requirements for data models, and collaborate closely with Terzo’s Data Science (“DS”) and AIS teams to deliver outcomes.


Roles & Responsibilities

Data Strategy: Partner with customers to define and refine enterprise data strategies that directly align with business objectives.

Requirements Gathering: Translate complex business questions into structured requirements for data models and AI solutions.

Framework Implementation: Apply structured consulting methodologies across customers to diagnose data challenges and uncover opportunities for impact.

Data Science Collaboration: Work closely with Terzo’s DS team to deliver solutions tailored to customer needs.

Data Analyst Enablement: Enable Data Analysts on complex data models and engagement requirements, ensuring alignment with requirements, quality standards, and project timelines.

Align Customer Outcomes: Align success criteria for data initiatives to Customer Success and Customer priorities, to ensure every project delivers tangible business value.

Customer Workshops: Lead workshops and discovery sessions with clients to gather requirements, align stakeholders, and set priorities for their data strategy.

Customer Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships that inspire customer confidence in Terzo’s data expertise and AI solutions.

Stakeholder Communication: Present insights, recommendations, and project updates to Terzo Engagement Directors, and Customer stakeholders in clear, compelling narratives.

Data Quality: Understand how data models intersect with data quality and methodologies employed by Terzo AIS related to the same.

Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of problem solving, collaboration, and continuous learning.  Contribute to our culture of data quality, thought leadership, professionalism, accountability, and timeliness.


Success Criteria

Consulting & Strategy Experience: 5–7+ years in customer facing roles such as management consulting, data strategy, analytics, or enterprise data/AI advisory.

Enterprise Data Expertise: Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, quality, and analytics frameworks, ideally in Fortune 500 environments.

AI/ML Familiarity: Experience with AI model lifecycle (requirements, data preparation, evaluation) and comfort working with technical teams.

Customer Engagement Abilities: Proven ability to lead workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings with senior executives.

Requirements Gathering: Skilled at translating ambiguous business challenges into structured requirements for strategic solutions

Communication: Exceptional ability to craft and deliver clear, compelling narratives (verbal, written, and visual) for customer audiences.

Project Management: Familiarity with project delivery frameworks, scope management, and success measurement.

Collaboration & Leadership: Experience mentoring junior analysts or consultants; passion for building strong team culture and developing junior colleagues.

Agility & Ambiguity: Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with shifting priorities.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Business, STEM, or related fields); advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data/Analytics) is a plus.

In-Office Presence: Must be in-office Monday to Thursday when not on-site with customer
